BigPicture Memory Game — A fun and interactive card-matching game for a photography exhibit

BigPicture is an annual photography competition and exhibit at the California Academy of Sciences. To make the BigPicture exhibit more engaging for younger visitors, I proposed and designed a card-matching memory game to help them experience the exhibit in a new and innovative way.

Test your memory by playing the BigPicture Memory Game here! Note: The experience is best played on a mobile device.

An exciting interactive experience for visitors of all ages

The goal of this game is to get visitors thinking, “What truly makes a photo memorable?”. This was a question for our initial target audience of visitors ages ten and under. However, seeing visitors of all ages play with the BigPicture Memory Game serves my goal as a designer to use design with strategy to foster meaningful experiences and lasting impressions!
