BigPicture Memory Game — Interactive design for a card-matching game in a photography exhibit.

BigPicture is an annual photography competition and exhibit at the California Academy of Sciences. To make the BigPicture exhibit more engaging for younger visitors, I proposed and designed a card-matching memory game to help them experience the exhibit in a new and innovative way. Project was designed from February to June 2024, and developed by September 2024. Creative direction by Rhonda Rubinstein. Design oversight by Andrew Sawyer. Attract screen animated by Tina Besa. Developed by Greg Rotter.

An exciting interactive experience for visitors of all ages.

The initial target audience for this game was mostly visitors ages ten and under. However, seeing visitors of all ages interact with the BigPicture Memory Game and figuring out what truly makes a photo memorable reaffirms my goal as a designer to keep blending design with strategy to foster meaningful experiences, connections, and lasting impressions.
