projects that inspire me
“Concrete” chocolate packaging concept by Adam Lomeli, inspired by brutalist design and urban landscapes. I love that Blockwrk offers a humorous and playful spin on conventional chocolate packaging. It makes me want to eat concrete.
An energetic brand campaign concept about mosquito control by Nick Leivers. I love that this takes a mundane nonprofit brand and turns it into a bold and colorful campaign to help make people care about bug control. Begone, mosquitos!
Inclusive Sans is a friendly and contemporary text font designed at the character level for accessibility and readability in all use cases.
Duolingo refined their character, Vikram, to be more inclusive and show authentic representation of the Sikh community. This is an amazing example of how far thoughtful details can go!
This typeface, designed by Daniel Coull and Eino Korkolo, visualizes the urgency of climate change by appearing to degrade over time, like glaciers melting.
Mailchimp created this interactive map experience highlighting local nonprofits in 12 different cities across the nation. I love the colors, illustrations, and overall message of this campaign.
A cookbook by my friend Liz Li that explores the Chinese-American diaspora through fast food. Thoughtfully researched and designed, this book examines what these “authentic” foods really mean for Chinese immigrants in America.
Collins’ rebrand of the cultural legend, San Francisco Symphony, uses responsive and variable motion to bring their custom tyopgraphy to life. This is a stunning example of what it means to put classical music in contemporary form.
Oliver Jeffers illustrated this book for his son on what he needed to know to live on planet earth. It’s a tour through the land and sea, and reminds us of that sense of unity we have as long as we live here.
