The Bus Stop — A 3D game about waiting for the bus
The Bus Stop is an interactive 3D simulation experience about passing time while waiting for the bus. Sometimes I feel like waiting for the bus takes so long to the point where I start to wonder, will the bus ever actually come?
Through this project, I concepted world where you, the player, start daydreaming after some idle time. The Bus Stop emulates that experience and how it feels when you immerse yourself into a dream-like state.

Featuring characters to accompany you while you’re waiting at the bus stop
All the characters in this game were inspired by real travelers I would see while waiting at bus stops. Sometimes they obnoxiously chewed gum, or had giant noise-cancelling headphones that would somehow still be heard from a ten-foot distance.
I also created smaller characters that players can interact with throughout the world, like ducks and fish and radishes.
Inspired by San Francisco bus shelters
For the bus shelter, I drew inspiration from the Lundberg bus shelter designs in San Francisco. I decided to put my own spin on it to reflect the style of the world I was creating (even though I am far from being an indsutrial designer).
My version of the bus shelter features a transparent top panel for weather protection, benches to provide a comfortable place to sit, and side panels with various fake advertisements.
