Pages for Pediatrics — Visual branding for a nonprofit that makes children’s books for pediatric patients

Pages for Pediatrics (PFP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that writes, illustrates, and donates children’s storybooks on pediatric health conditions. PFP is my passion project that I’ve been involved with since 2021!

PFP’s mission is to help alleviate patient anxiety by advocating for disability representation and combatting stigma toward pediatric health conditions. I work closely with our student affiliates to help them tell their stories, as well as oversee the book illustrations and designs, brand identity, and creative direction.

Modernizing the logo

I designed the first logo for PFP in 2021. After the nonprofit expanded to include student affiliates at universities across the United States, it was time for a logo refresh!

Previously, the logo felt imbalanced and outdated. I updated the logo to feel more simple, modern, and scalable while keeping the same image of a doctor sitting on an open book.

Building a friendly and versatile brand

Hospital stays can be daunting, so it’s important to build a trustworthy brand that pediatric patients can feel comfortable and empowered by. My goal was to design a brand system that is bright, trustworthy, welcoming, and versatile for all of our affiliates to use.
